Hi, I’m Josie Geddes. I began training in various counselling theories in 2003 and have completed a wide variety of courses, deepening my appreciation of interventions to support people through talking therapy, change interventions and trauma processing.
I have a dual degree in Short-term Psychodynamic Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also completed a PG Dip in High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I work as a CBT and EMDR therapist within a primary care setting in the NHS. I am also trained in ACT and have extensive experience of working with addictive behaviour.
I am accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have a private practice as a therapist that I established in 2014 where I am able to provide a combination of therapeutic techniques to alleviate psychological distress. If you would like to try, ‘Let’s take a journey to a new understanding’
