My background is in the voluntary sector working with homelessness, addiction and mental health. I first trained as a counsellor in 1999 and then continued with my training as a humanistic/person centred psychotherapist. This is an approach that I found very helpful in my own personal therapy and it continues to be the basis of my work although I have since integrated psychodynamic and attachment based theory into my practice.

My training includes:

At Spectrum
Counselling Skills
One year Course in Psychotherapy
Post Graduate Year in Psychotherapy
Sexuality
Reparenting
Clinical Skills
Professional Seminar Series
Relationship Skills

At the IGA
Introductory course in Group Analysis

I am in regular clinical supervision and ongoing therapy.

I am an associate member of UKAHPP and abide by their code of ethics.
